Human Society and Its Environment (HSIE)

Bellevue Hill PS incorporates a wide variety of integrated units.  The units of work cover a wide range of topics and concepts to be learnt in areas such as: Transport, Communities, Climates, Australia, Colonisation, Gold, Rainforests and Democracy.

A focus for learning in HSIE is the development of information skills: defining, locating, selecting, organising, presenting and assessing. Students are provided with opportunities to present their learning in a variety of formats, e.g. projects, booklets, class presentation, multimedia presentations etc.

As part of their work in HSIE Stage 3 students travel to Bathurst or Canberra/Snowy Mountains.
